Despite the Recording Academy sending out a memo to Grammy guests to be more demure on the red carpet, Jennifer Lopez is a fashion rule-breaker through and through. “They didn’t say anything about leg! I thought I was being such a good girl,” Lopez said of her Anthony Vaccarello leg-revealing design on the Grammys red carpet. Grammys 2013 Red Carpet: The Celebrities Who Didn’t Tone It Down

In anticipation of tonight’s Grammys red carpet-which is known for its outrageous fashion choices-The Recording Academy issued a decree on Wednesday asking that attendees make attempts to tone down the often revealing nature of their red carpet choices. But there were a few stars who didn’t pay any mind to the new rules: Jennifer Lopez (in Anthony Vaccarello), Katy Perry, Miranda Lambert (in Roberto Cavalli), and Kelly Rowland (in Georges Chakra Couture) all showed plenty of skin on the red carpet. “They didn’t say anything about leg!” Lopez told E! host Ryan Seacrest. “I thought I was being such a good girl. A little shoulder, a little leg!” Lambert also consciously disregarded the Academy’s notes. “Don’t show your side boob and don’t show your puffy skin, what does that even mean?” she said. “What is puffy skin? After the Golden Globes: See All the Star-Studded Parties!

The stars were certainly out for Golden Globes night, party-hopping through bashes hosted by HBO, NBC Universal, The Weinstein Company, and FOX. Zosia Mamet, Lena Dunham, and Allison Williams celebrated their Girls Best Comedy Series win at the HBO party, although they didn’t anticipate an all-night rager. “Here’s probably what’s going to happen,” Williams told InStyle.com. “We’re going to stay up until about midnight, which is 3 a.m. our time, and then we’ll probably eat at some point and that will be glorious.” Making the rounds alongside the trio were Jessica Chastain, InStyle cover girls Halle Berry and Amanda Seyfried, Anne Hathaway, and more. Golden Globes 2013 Hair Trend: Side-Swept Curls

Retro-inspired beauty was a popular choice at the Golden Globe Awards last night, with Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, InStyle cover girl Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, and Rachel Weisz channeling their inner Veronica Lake with side-swept ringlets. We love how each star’s curls are defined without being stiff, not to mention the throwback moment to Old Hollywood glamour. “Megan wanted to have a moment on the red carpet, showing off a more confident, sophisticated, and softer side,” Fox’s hairstylist Renato Campora told InStyle.com. Recreate their looks at home by adding mousse to damp hair, then blow dry using a round brush until smooth. Campora used a clipless curling iron by Sultra ($130; sephora.com) to form Fox’s waves, then misted on the OSiS Strong Hold Hairspray ($19; ulta.com for locations) to lock in the shape.
